Gerhard Schedler, President & CEO
Gerhard Schedler

Gerhard Schedler began his career in 1994 at GANTNER ELECTRONIC when he joined the RFID development and project management group. During that time, Mr. Schedler was involved in the development of diverse RFID systems including the LEGIC system (market leader in access control) and the BENZING system (world market leader for carrier pigeon tracking).

In 1997 he took over the responsibility of the long range RFID division of GANTNER ELECTRONIC. Later, when GANTNER was spun off into IDENTEC SOLUTIONS (in April of 1999), Mr. Schedler became Chief Technology Officer. Since 2002 he has overseen the global sales and marketing initiatives of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS. In 2005 Mr. Schedler was appointed to the Management Board as the COO/Vorstand, and as of January 1st 2006 took on the role of global CEO & President of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS.

Mr. Schedler holds both a technical degree from University of Applied Sciences of Technology Buchs (Switzerland) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Economics in Strathclyde (Scotland).

Matthias Klaudrat, Chief Financial Officer & VP Administration
Matthias Klaudrat

Matthias Klaudrat was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Administration at  IDENTEC SOLUTIONS in 2009.

Prior to joining IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, Matthias was Head of Corporate Finance for RAUCH Fruchtsäfte, a 90 year old company with a distribution network that spans throughout Europe.  While in this role, he was responsible for the company’s international subsidiary operations as well as all Merger & Acquisition transactions. In addition, Matthias played a key role in the integration processes for  RAUCH Fruchtsäfte’s newly founded and acquired subsidiaries.   Previous appointments include Senior Controller at ZUMTOBEL, an Austrian based supplier of integral lighting solutions with international interests,  where he was instrumental in the reorganization and restructuring of projects in preparation of the company’s IPO following the merger with Thorn.
 
Matthias holds a Masters Degree in International Entrepreneurship from the University of Applied Sciences, Vorarlberg, Austria.

Stefan Schwiers, Chief Technology Officer
Stefan Schwiers

Coming originally from the textile machinery and production line industry, Stefan Schwiers was in charge of building up a new technical support in Alexandria, Egypt before becoming a sales manager for Turkey and Greece with power of attorney at Trützschler GmbH & Co KG., a market leader in fiber preparation plants.

Stefan entered the Auto ID industry in 2002. Starting as technical support manager for the German operations of SATO, an industrial barcode printer manufacturer, he was appointed technical manager for the new European operations in Brussels. There he played a key role in the development of the first European spectrum compliant UHF RFID printers and is a holder of a patent in RFID label application.

Subsequently, he held the position of CTO for TagStone, a newly formed systems integrator in Dubai/ UAE. As a result of his efforts, TagStone won a large development project at DHL in the UAE, which has gained international interest throughout the DHL group. In February 2007, Stefan accepted the position of VP Technology ILR at IDENTEC SOLUTIONS and is currently in charge of the entire research and development in the ILR product line.

Stefan Schwiers has broad international experience and is holder of a national German engineer’s degree.

John C. Shoemaker, Executive Vice President, Global Sales

As Executive Vice President Global Sales, John Shoemaker brings to IDENTEC SOLUTIONS a successful 35 year career in the high tech and wireless networks industry; most recently holding the position of Vice President Worldwide Sales at EKAHAU.  


Some previous career highlights include being directly responsible for winning the passive RFID industry’s largest contracts at McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas and the Airport Authority of Hong Kong, as well as leading the team that secured a contract from the U.S. Airforce to develop a RFID based solution for clinical operations at a large medical centre.  Considered a leading voice and advocate for the  wireless network market, John is consulted by media and industry, has published numerous papers, penned articles, and is often a guest speaker at conferences throughout the world.  John has also held executive level sales and marketing positions with global responsibility for companies that include TransCore, Matrics, Symbol Technologies and Xerox. 


He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Massachusetts.
