It was just over a decade ago when IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, introduced track and locate technology featuring our Intelligent Long Range (ILR) technology. The impact on the industry was immediate and significant - and today the same holds true. No other active RFID supplier has been able to match the exceptionally long communication ranges and robust features of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS ILR technology. We were also the first to introduce innovative features such as temperature monitoring, onboard LED lights, and the first PCMCIA Card with RFID to the commercial active RFID market.
We are proud to say that IDENTEC SOLUTIONS still leads the industry in innovation. Our Intelligent Long Range (ILR) technology is not only found at the heart of our solutions, but continues to be sought out worldwide by system integrators.
Last quarter we announced another addition to our award winning technology portfolio - the ILR ISO 18000-7 line, which virtually combines multi system features in one. You can read more on ILR ISO 18000-7 tags and readers in the Product Spotlight later on in the newsletter.
An important industry note is the recent formation of the Dash7 Alliance. Early on, IDENTEC SOLUTIONS recognized the value of solidarity within the active RFID and had been advocating for this change. Now, as a result of the industry move to unite, for the first time in the history of active RFID, a global standard has been established. The anticipated impact of the Dash7 Alliance on the commercial active market effort is expected to be significant.
IDENTEC SOLUTIONS is proud of its leadership role within the active RFID industry and the impact we have had on the industry. Whether ensuring personnel safety, or the efficient track and location of valuable assets, IDENTEC SOLUTIONS technology consistently stands at the forefront of the active RFID industry - year after year.

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS has long recognized and advocated the value of a universal active RFID standard. Early in 2009, the Dash7 Alliance, a consortium made up of leading active RFID industry players, was founded with the goal of working together to advance the use of DASH7 wireless data technology through the development of extensions to the ISO 18000-7 standard.

■ Product Spotlight - ILR ISO 18000-7

The newest addition to the IDENTEC SOLUTIONS portfolio is the ILR ISO 18000-7 product line.
Initially developed in response to a Department of Defense request for “state of the art” active RFID technology, the product line is an extension of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ patented Intelligent Long Range (ILR) technology. By utilizing third generation ILR, a new, robust line was developed to deliver track and locate capabilities so advanced, it virtually combined multi-system features into one solution.
Tested rigorously by the Department of Defense, IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ technology was selected by the DoD on both of the two technology partner proposals submitted by the DoD.
■ Project Spotlight - Gate Access Solution for DP World Australia

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ deployment commenced at the Sydney Port in Australia in June. We are pleased to report that this deployment has already been completed and we are currently rolling out the Brisbane and Freemantle systems with the entire project completion expected in the next few months.
DP World ‘s overall satisfaction with the deployment resulted in a thank you to the deployment team for its “high level of service” and appreciation for the “prompt rectification and clarification to any issue raised during this time of system transition.”
Upon completion, the project will have extended to three Australian ports.
